The American Gardener is the official bimonthly magazine of the American Horticultural Society, a national nonprofit educational association for gardeners founded in 1922.

The American Gardener is written primarily for the avid gardener. Through its colorful pages, readers visit with horticultural leaders, travel to gardens throughout the nation, and get an "up close and personal" look at both well-loved and little-known plants.
