BE INSPIRED

Joining the AHS will open the door to a community of gardeners who are eager to help you succeed. You can get your creativity flowing by visiting some of the most beautiful gardens in the country courtesy of the Reciprocal Admissions Program. Or simply open the latest issue of The American Gardener to get fresh ideas on landscaping and design, plant selection, and minimizing your garden’s impact on the environment.

The AHS is also committed to inspiring educators to bring gardens and gardening into their classrooms. Since 1993, the AHS has hosted the National Children & Youth Garden Symposium to help educators develop specific, practical skills that will help bridge the growing divide separating young people from the natural world.

Additionally, the AHS works to directly encourage the horticultural leaders of tomorrow through opportunities such as the AHS Internship Program, which allows students in horticulture and other related programs to gain invaluable practical experience and apply classroom lessons to real-world situations.
