    Discovering Gardens in the Netherlands

***Just confirmed - we will tour the private garden of landscape architect Piet Oudolf. An internationally renowned landscape architect, Piet Oudolf is especially known for extensive use of ornamental grasses in his designs. ***

We're pleased to be taking AHS tour guests to parts of the Netherlands we have not visited as a group. Beginning in the picturesque region of Groningen, the Netherland’s northernmost province we travel to the country’s largest province, Gelderland, before returning to Amsterdam for a four-night stay.

We will experience a tremendous variety of formal and informal gardens, many of which are private, as well as learn about the region’s rich garden traditions and immerse ourselves in exceptional horticulture.

The accommodations for this program offer a unique blend of historic charm and contemporary comforts, ranging from a castle with a private forest, to a riverside, urban hotel.

The AHS Host for this tour is landscape designer Jane Diamantis, who says, "Traveling with a small group of individuals who have a sense of adventure and appreciate history, art, fine food, good conversation, and of course, gorgeous gardens is what sets our AHS trips apart."
