Our Host in Austin
The Lady Bird Johnson Wildflower Center is a 279-acre
botanical garden in Austin, Texas, dedicated to protecting
and preserving North America’s native plants. Founded in
1982 by Lady Bird Johnson and the late Helen Hayes, the Lady
Bird Johnson Wildflower Center’s mission is to increase the
sustainable use and conservation of native wildflowers,
plants, and landscapes. AHS Garden School attendees will
have the opportunity to explore and photograph this
inspirational landscape while receiving instruction from
nationally renowned garden photographers. For more
