The American Gardener  is published by the American Horticultural Society as a member benefit. This critically acclaimed magazine features inspiring color photographs and in-depth articles on new and native plants, influential garden personalities, garden history, and earth friendly gardening techniques and products. There are also regular departments on design, children’s gardening, conservation issues, and reviews of the latest gardening books, as well as a calendar of gardening events nationwide.

$10 of annual dues go toward The American Gardener magazine subscription.

Editorial internships with the American Horticultural Society are open to any college-level student of journalism, English, horticulture or related fields, and to adults with relevant experience who are making a career change or seeking additional training.
