Does your local school district have an organic garden?
Gardening at school is a great way for students to learn math, science, and English skills, along with cooperation and environmental stewardship. If you know of a school that practices organic gardening, help them reap some cash prizes! The Rodale Institute's Kidsregen.org website holds an annual Organic School Garden Awards contest to honor outstanding organic school gardens. Grades K - 12, including home schools, can win a top prize of $1000. Deadline for entries is October 31; to get the complete rules and details online click here.
