Garden School Travel Information

This AHS Garden School is presented in partnership with the City of Alexandria. It will take place at the Lee Center, located at 1108 Jefferson Street in Alexandria, Virginia.

The City of Alexandria’s Lee Center is located on the south end of Old Town Alexandria at the intersection of Jefferson Street and South Fayette Street. Less than a mile from the King Street Metro Station, the Lee Center is easily accessible by public transportation.

Taking Public Transportation to the Lee Center

The closest Metro station is King Street Station on WMATA’s yellow or blue metro lines. For more information, click here. Next to King Street Station is Alexandria’s Union Station, serviced by Amtrak. Both stations are 0.8 miles from Lee Center, a short walk or bus ride away. The bus line servicing the Lee Center is AT7, which begins at Landmark Mall and stops at King Street Metro on its way to the Lee Center. For more information on the bus route, click here.

Parking is free at the Lee Center and is available both in the Center’s parking lots and along the city streets.
